Combatting anti-wine activism at Vinitaly with a free wine communications playbook for you

It always baffles me when I learn about organizations trying to demonize wine. Wine offers so much to the world in addition to being the beautiful beverage it is.

But, alas, there are groups out there who are actively trying to minimize its presence in the world.

Last week I had the pleasure of serving on a panel at Vinitaly which explored Movendi’s latest attempts at outlawing wine globally, US market trends and challenges, and offered suggestions as to what those in the industry can do to fight back. My co presenters were investigative journalist Felicity Carter, Gino Colangelo of Colangelo & Partners and Susan Kostrzewa of Resplendent Ink.

My part in the presentation focused on winery communications and what today’s consumers are looking for in wine and life… and how wineries can address both. I outlined a few simple strategies and also shared a free communications playbook for those looking to put those ideas into practice.

The panel offered great insight into what is going one behind the scenes of this latest attack on wine. As a wine professional, I urge you to educate yourself on what is really happenning.

To get started, you can pop on over to this post about the presentation at Vinitaly and see our presentation slides, view the survey of US consumer sentiment Gino shared and download your own copy of the free communications playbook.

We’re all in this together!
