After my rather conventional wine and cheese pairing review from Wednesday, I’ve got something new for you.

Have you ever paired Rabbit Ridge Allure de Robles with a Butterfinger candy bar?

My husband tried this one a few nights ago and we were both amazed at how great the two tasted together. We even roped a friend into trying it and she agreed.

I don’t know what it is exactly about this fruity, Rhone style red from Paso Robles that goes so well with the Butterfinger, but I just know I like it. and it is only about $8 a bottle. Cha-CHING!

This has prompted me to wonder… what other candy bars go great with what other wines?

Ideas, anyone?
