Wine + Cheese + Friends = One Great Evening.

Hosting a wine and cheese pairing is a wonderful way to enjoy a summer evening with friends. If you’ll be hosting such a gathering, you’ll want to make sure that you have cheese markers on hand. They are a simple way to help your guests distinguish between the many delicious cheeses you’ll be offering.

Sure, you can buy cheese markers from Pottery Barn or Sur La Table…but wouldn’t you rather make your own for pennies and spend that extra money towards wine and cheese?

The Greenbacks Gal has a great tutorial on DIY Wine Cork Cheese Markers. With a knife, pen and toothpick or skewers, you can transform a few wine corks into some simple, yet fabulous, cheese markers.

These cheese markers are so simple and inexpensive to make, you’ll want to make several extras to have on hand for future parties or impromptu gatherings.
