Next week I’m heading back to Blissdom, a blogging conference for women, where I’ll get to listen to some fabulous speakers share their thoughts on better writing, better social media and, of course the pursuit of that better balance between the blogging world and personal life.
I’m also excited to meet internet friends face to face for the first time, reconnect with other dear friends I haven’t seen since the last blogging conference, and really visit, have fun and share ideas.
So what does this mean for you, dear reader?
My main goal for going to Blissdom is to meet other bloggers with whom I can collaborate to make VineSleuth Uncorked (and of course my other sites, MomsToolbox and MomsTravelTales) a collection of the best voices out there.
It has always been my vision to make VineSleuth Uncorked into a place where I bring the experts, as well as those learning, together to explore wine. I want us to learn from each other, not just me. I see my role as the one who brings everyone together and asks the questions to get the conversation rolling.
Whose voices do I seek?
I want to share the stories of winemakers, sommeliers, other wine bloggers and other wine industry pros.
I also want to hear the stories of food bloggers, lifestyle bloggers with entertaining ideas, and mom bloggers who get together with friends to enjoy a few glasses of wine and share stories. (I know I love those nights with my girlfriends!)
I also want to hear from those who want to talk about great date wines, whether those dates are for singles or marrieds.
I want to write about those spending $8 a bottle or $80 or more a bottle.
I want to collaborate with the deal-finders and those who love to splurge. And I can’t wait to share stories about the economics of wine… as in, how much of a better wine do you get when you spend more?
I also want to hear from you: What do you want to know about wine? What wines do you enjoy? Are you adventurous with wines or do you stick to your faves, and why?
Why collaborate?
VineSleuth Uncorked is the wine blog for casual wine drinkers, and I think that encompasses a LOT of people. And I want to be sure all those voices, stories and questions are heard. I want to answer your questions, and laugh and learn with you, and by collaborating with other bloggers, I am bringing you the best information, voices and stories.
